Roman tripod with figurative decorations. This folding table frames were used to put down plates, bowls or tablets on. They were used as well in religious ceremonies as in the dining room of the roman upper class. The tripod is foldable and suitable for plates with a diameter between 30 and 40 cm.
The size of the tripod is about 115 cm, the price refers to the frame with figural fittings at the top and the feet without plate (brasera). This product is based on an archeological find of a tripod-leg with lionshead of a private collection.
